The Sandbox team announced the Alpha of its play-to-earn metaverse. This contributed to SAND prices having reached new all-time highs. After four years of development, the highly anticipated Alpha of The Sandbox will launch on November 29.
The virtual property and gaming project of Animoca Brands called The Sandbox is revealing a part of its metaverse for the first time. It will be opened up for the first time via a multi-week play-to-earn Alpha event. Not all gamers will be able to enjoy the full experience, just a handful of lucky players will get the chance. The metaverse enables players to monetize the time they spent in the metaverse via a play-to-earn model. In The Sandbox’s virtual gaming world, gamers can purchase land and create NFT’s. NFT’s can be created within the game. Gamers can also earn the Sandbox token (SAND) by finishing numerous quests. Staking the SAND coin is also possible.
Wednesday November 18, The Sandbox announced that the event will start on November 29 and will run until December 20. Only a selected group of 5000 players will have the chance to earn up to 1000 SAND tokens. The selected players also have a chance of winning three exclusive NFTs. These NFTs will only be available during the event.
