Famous American rapper Post Malone purchased two Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs in his new music video named ‘’One Right Now’’ with artist The Weekend. Post Malone paid 160 ETH, approximately 682 000 USD for the two NFTs. In his new music video he bought the two NFTs and promoted a cryptocurrency firm. The music video has more than 5 million views after just 3 days.
In the music video, Post Malone purchased two BAYC NFTs. Bored Ape Yacht Club is one of the most popular NFT collections. The collection features 10.000 NFTs living on the Ethereum Blockchain. The video shows Post Malone buying the NFTs using Moonpay. Moonpay is a fintech startup that mainly focuses on providing cryptocurrency payments infrastructure. Moonpay allegedly plans to reach a valuation of 3.4 billion USD.
The artist purchased the two NFTs, but not with his own money. The address (of Post Malone) which bought and owns the two NFTs on NFT marketplace OpenSea, earlier received 175 ETH from Moonpay. The amount was immediately used to purchase the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs. The two NFTs cost a combined 160 ETH, so Post Malone got an extra 15 ETH.
